Serial numbers help track warranties, service requests, returns, and more. In Ordoro, you can easily track products’ serial numbers when shipping orders. This guide will show you how to add, view, and search for serial numbers within your orders.

How to add serial numbers to orders

1. Find the order you want to update and click the Order ID to open the Order Details page.

2. Scroll to the Order Contents and find the product that needs a serial number.

3. Click Add serial number(s). This opens a pop-up for Edit Order Line Values.

4. Type or scan the serial number in the Serial Numbers field. For multiple serial numbers, press Return or add a line break between each entry. Ordoro will automatically separate them with commas after saving.

4. Click Save, and the serial number(s) will be saved tot he order.


How serial numbers appear on the Packing List

When generating a Packing List, you can choose to display serial numbers. Simply select the Show Serial Numbers option while printing the document.

How to find orders by serial number

1. Go to the Orders tab and enter the serial number into the search bar. Press Enter to search.

2. Any orders that include the serial number will appear.

3. Click on the Order Number to open the Order Details page and see which item the serial number is associated with.


How to view serial numbers in bulk

1. To view multiple orders with serial numbers, export an Order Detail report. See this support article on how to export this CSV file.

2. Serial numbers will be listed in column BL of the CSV file. See the screenshot below.
