If you see this USPS Ship error:
“We are having trouble validating your credit card, please check your credit card details and try again.”
This is related to the card in your USPS account. In most cases, it means USPS cannot verify the credit card details with your card issuer.
Why this happens
This usually happens for one of these reasons:
- Your card issuer may be flagging the USPS verification or transaction as possible fraud.
- The billing address entered does not match the billing address on file with your card issuer.
How to fix it
Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
- Remove the credit card from USPS.
- Add it again using the billing address exactly as it appears on your credit card statement.
- If the error continues, contact your card issuer and let them know that USPS verification checks and transactions are valid and should be allowed.
- Try again.
Tips for entering the billing address:
- Match spelling and formatting as closely as possible
- Use the ZIP code exactly as shown on the statement
- Avoid using a warehouse or shipping address unless it is the billing address on file
Important notes
- This validation happens on the USPS side, not within Ordoro
- Removing and re-adding your credit card does not change your EPA number
- If your company has multiple addresses, use the card’s billing address, not your operational address
