To see a log of all the inventory changes to a specific SKU, you can export a CSV file from the product detail page. Here’s how you do it.

  1. Go to the Products tab and search for the product you want to modify. Click on the SKU.
  2. In the Product Detail page that opens up, find the section that says Inventory Log -> click Export CSV in that section.
  3. The inventory log will be generated as a CSV file and can be downloaded from the activity tray.

**NOTE** IF EXPORTING AN INVENTORY REPORT FOR A KIT:

  1. The report does NOT include the component(s) transactions.
  2. We suggest exporting a report for all components associated with the KIT
  3. Color code each component SKU OR make note of the SKU per component (you will see why this will be important in the next few steps)
  4. Copy each component SKU’s event_type: ‘on_hand’ + ‘order’ information
  5. Paste the ‘on_hand’ and ‘order’ information into KIT report
  6. Once all component information is in the KIT report, highlight all rows and columns
  7. Select the Data option in the Excel menu
  8. Select the Sort option
  9. Sort by the created_at column (this will sort the events in the order the actions took place)

Helpful Hints:

  1. When you have open the inventory log file, you may want to color code by event type so it is a little easier to read the spreadsheet. While everyone tends to find their own perfect system, here are a few suggested steps:
    1. Highlights all rows and columns
    2. Select the Data option in the Excel menu
    3. Select the Sort option
    4. Sort by event_type
    5. Highlight all rows associated with the same event type and add a color to the rows
    6. Do this for every event
    7. Select all rows and columns
    8. Select the Data option in the Excel menu
    9. Select the Sort option
    10. Sort by the created_at column (this will sort the events in the order the events took place)
  2. Of course, if you have any questions about the inventory report, please call Support at 512.271.9453 ext. 3 Mo-Fri 9am-6pm CST OR email us at support@ordoro.com.
