How do Squarespace products import to Ordoro?

In Squarespace, there are four types of products. Let’s explore how their inventory imports to Ordoro!

Note: these are the quantities saved when products are initially created in Ordoro. Once a product is in Ordoro, we become the inventory master and manage the stock.

Types of products

  1. Physical
  2. Service
  3. Digital
  4. Gift Card
  5. Visibility: Public, Hidden, Scheduled

Physical products

The matrix below describes how physical product inventory is saved during the initial product import.

Note: We suggest disabling inventory writeback for Unlimited Quantity items. See this help article for details.

SquarespaceOrdoro
The product has a set quantity.

Example: Quantity = 5		When the product is created in Ordoro, the same quantity is saved.

Example: Quantity = 5
The product has unlimited quantity.

Example: Quantity = unlimited		When the product is created in Ordoro, the quantity is zero since we’re not tracking inventory.

Example: Quantity = zero

How unlimited quantity products appear in Squarespace.

Service products

Service products are saved in Ordoro when an order is placed for them. They do not import during a regular product import.

Notes:

  • We suggest disabling inventory writeback for Unlimited Quantity items. See this help article for details.
  • Orders with service items will import with a billing address only. A shipping address is not listed since there’s nothing to ship.
SquarespaceOrdoro
The product has a set quantity.

Example: Quantity = 5		When the product is created in Ordoro, the same quantity is saved.

Example: Quantity = 5
The product has unlimited quantity.

Example: Quantity = unlimited		When the product is created in Ordoro, the quantity is zero since we’re not tracking inventory.

Example: Quantity = zero

Digital products

  1. In Squarespace, these items do not have a tracked quantity. See the screenshot below.
  2. Therefore, these items don’t import during a regular product import.
  3. If an order imports with a digital item, we’ll create the item using the Squarespace internal ID as the SKU.

Gift card

  1. In Squarespace, these items do not have a tracked quantity.
  2. Therefore, these items will not import during a regular Product Import.
  3. Orders with Gift Cards are not currently supported in Ordoro. We plan to add these in the future. Please contact our Support Team at support@ordoro.com for more details.

Visibility

  1. Squarespace products have different visibility settings. They can be Public, Hidden, or Scheduled.
  2. All visibility settings will import to Ordoro. It does not matter if a product is Hidden or Scheduled, it will get created in Ordoro.
