When you ship an order internationally, the destination country or carrier may require tax information for customs clearance. In Ordoro, you can add that tax information in the Label Panel when creating an international shipment.
This can help you prepare customs details more completely inside Ordoro and reduce the need to manage part of the shipment outside the platform.

What are these tax fields, and why are they helpful?
These fields let you enter tax identification numbers that may be needed for international shipping and customs processing.
Depending on the shipment, this might include:
- VAT number
- IOSS number
- EIN
- other sender or recipient tax IDs
These details can be helpful because some international shipments require tax information for the sender, the recipient, or both. Adding the right information to the shipment can help support customs clearance and reduce delays.
Here are a few common examples:
- You are shipping from the U.S. to Europe and need to include the recipient’s VAT number.
- Your business is the exporter and must include its EIN or another sender tax ID.
- The shipment requires tax information for both parties, so you need to include the sender and recipient tax details on the same shipment.
What tax information can I add in Ordoro?
The exact fields depend on the carrier, but Ordoro supports combinations of the following:
- Sender Tax ID
- Sender Tax ID Type
- Sender Tax Issuer Country
- Recipient Tax ID
- Recipient Tax ID Type
- Recipient Tax Issuer Country
Some carriers support sender tax info only. Some support recipient tax info only. Others support both.

Tips for filling out these fields
- Use Sender fields for your business’s tax information.
- Use Recipient fields for your customer’s or importer’s tax information.
- Only fill in the fields your shipment requires.
- Double-check that the tax ID is entered under the correct party.
- Complete the remaining customs information before creating the label.
If you are not sure which tax details are required, check with your carrier, customs broker, marketplace, or tax advisor.
Can I save this in a preset?
Yes. You can save Tax Info in a preset from the Label Panel so you can reuse it on future shipments.
This can be helpful when:
- Your business ships internationally often,
- Your sender tax info stays the same from order to order,
- Or you want your team to follow a more consistent workflow.
Keep in mind that recipient tax information may vary by order, so it is still a good idea to review those details before creating the label.
