Yes! If you need to fulfill kit components separately, Ordoro’s Unkit Automation can automatically swap kit products for their individual components on your orders.

To enable this, you can contact our support team at support@ordoro.com. This automation requires a one-time fee.

How does the Unkit Automation work?

Once enabled, Ordoro’s Unkit Automation runs every hour and looks for Awaiting Fulfillment orders with the Kit unprocessed tag. Here’s what happens next:

  1. Identifies Kitted Products
    • The automation scans orders with the Kit unprocessed tag.
    • It finds all kit products on the order.

  1. Replaces Kits with Components
    • The kit product is swapped out for its individual components.
    • In the example screenshot below, the Crown and Sock Bundle (10 units) will be replaced with its components: 20 Tutu Socks and 10 Tutu Crowns.

  • Below, after the automation runs and the components are added to the order, the kit itself will no longer appear as a line item.

  1. Tags Updated Orders
    • The order is tagged with Unkit success, so your team knows it has been updated.

  1. Allows for Flexible Fulfillment

Important considerations

Order Totals May Change

  • The automation adds components to the order along with their manual order prices. This may cause a difference between the total in Ordoro and your sales channel.

Tracking Sync Issues

  • Because the original kit product has been removed, tracking information may no longer sync back to your sales channel (depending on your sales channel’s requirements).
  • You may need to manually add tracking information in your sales channel for unkitted orders.
  • Use the Unkit success tag to filter and find these orders easily.
