Using Shipsurance through Ordoro is a great way to save money when insuring USPS, UPS, FedEx and Canada Post shipments. There are, however, a few things that cannot ship with Shipsurance insurance:

  • Accounts
  • Bills, currency or cash in transit
  • Evidence of debt
  • Checks or money orders
  • COD payments
  • Coins (collectible coins are not excluded)
  • Securities and other negotiable papers
  • Tickets
  • Deeds or notes
  • Gift cards
  • Manuscripts or documents
  • Neon items
  • Hazardous material
  • LCD monitors or screens
  • Televisions
  • Perishable cargo or similar property or eggs
  • Any stone or ceramic slabs
  • Automobiles or motorcycles
  • Live animals
  • Flowers, plants or seeds
  • Cigarettes/cigars
  • Cotton
  • Guns
  • Tobacco
  • Windows, plate glass, stained glass, and float glass

Your package may not be covered for loss, damage, shortage or non-arrival if it:

  • Is addressed incorrectly
  • Is packed insufficiently to withstand normal transit
  • Bears a descriptive label alluding to the contents of the package
    • Note: Packages with customs forms are not excluded from coverage
  • Is obtained by trick, false pretense, or other fraudulent schemes

Shipsurance will also not insure shipments sent to:

  • Afghanistan
  • Angola
  • Bolivia
  • Burma
  • Congo
  • Cuba
  • Iran
  • Iraq
  • Ivory Coast (Cote d’Ivoire)
  • Liberia
  • Mexico (Truck/rail shipments to and within other than as a connecting conveyance)
  • Nigeria
  • North Korea
  • Paraguay
  • Sierra Leone
  • Somalia
  • Sudan
  • Syria
  • Venezuela

Note: For shipments to Russian and other Commonwealth of Independent States countries (includes Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Russian Federation, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan) coverage ceases upon reaching the country.
