How do I use Tag filters and search?

Tags are a powerful way to group orders, products, returns, etc. Once a tag is added, you can easily filter and view the items at-a-glance!

Order tags

1. Click the Orders tab in the green bar.
2. Click the Filters button.

2. Then scroll to the Tags section.

Product, Returns, or Manufacturing tags

Click the Tags option above the omnibar. See the filtering logic in the dropdown.

Filtering Logic

Filtering logic for tags includes Any, All, Only and Exclude. Below explains how these functions work in Ordoro.

  1. Has
  2. Does not have
  3. Exclude (orders only)
  4. Search

Has

Any:

  • This will show any item with the tag(s) you have selected.
  • If you select multiple tags, it will include items with at least one of the chosen tags.
  • Example: If you select the “Expedited” tag in the above picture, you will return all items with that tag. If you select “Expedited” and “International”, you will return all items that have at least one of “Expedited” or “International” tags.

All:

  • This will show all items with the tag(s) you have selected. 
  • If you select multiple tags, it will only return items that have been tagged by all of the selected tags.
  • It will not include items tagged with only one of the multiple tags selected. For this, you will want to choose Any.
  • Example – If you select the “Expedited” tag in the above picture, you will return all items with that tag. If you select “Expedited” and “International”, you will return all items that have both of “Expedited” and “International” tags.  An item that has the tags “International”, “Expedited” and “First Class” would show up. An item with “Expedited” and not “International” would not show up.

Only:

  • This will only return items with the exact specific tag(s) you have selected. If you select multiple tags, it will only return items that have those exact multiple tags and no other tags.
  • Example – If you select the “Expedited” tag in the above picture, you will return all items tagged only with “Expedited” and nothing else. If you select “Expedited” and “International”, you will return all items that have both “Expedited” and “International” tags, and nothing else, so,  an item that has the tags “International”, “Expedited” and “First Class” would not show up.

Does not have

Any:

  • This will hide all items associated with the tags you have selected.
  • Example – If you select the “Expedited” tag in the above picture, you will return all items that don’t have the “Expedited” tag. If you select “Expedited” and “International”, you will return all items that do not have either “Expedited” or “International” tags.

Exclude

  • Select the X icon on the tag to exclude that tag from filtering.
  • Multiple tags can be selected to exclude.

The search can be used when applying tags, filtering, or when setting up automation rules. Note: the search will return alpha characters only.
