FedEx Priority Alert® is a contract-only, fee-based service for shipping high-value, time-sensitive, or critical packages. It offers enhanced tracking, priority handling, and proactive monitoring to minimize delays and ensure successful delivery.
If your FedEx account is enabled for Priority Alert, you can activate it in Ordoro and apply it to eligible shipments.

What is FedEx Priority Alert®?
FedEx Priority Alert® is designed for shipments that require:
- Priority handling and intervention support
- Enhanced tracking and visibility
- Fast delivery through select FedEx services
- Optional special handling, including dry ice, dangerous goods, and weekend delivery
This service is ideal for medical, pharmaceutical, electronics, or other critical shipments that can’t afford delays.
Note: FedEx Priority Alert® is only available to FedEx customers with an active contract for this service. Reach out to your FedEx account representative to learn more or enable it on your account.
How to enable FedEx Priority Alert® in Ordoro
To activate Priority Alert in your Ordoro account:
- Click on your Company Name.
- Select Account Settings from the dropdown.
- Go to Shippers/Carriers in the left column or click this link directly.
- Click Edit next to your FedEx account.
- Check the box labeled Has FedEx Priority Alert® Enabled.
- Scroll down and click Save.
Once enabled, the Priority Alert option will appear when creating FedEx shipping labels.
How to apply FedEx Priority Alert® when creating labels
To use Priority Alert on an eligible shipment:
- Go to the Orders tab and select the order you want to ship.
- In the Shipping Label panel, choose FedEx as your carrier.
- Click Additional Options.
- Scroll to the Priority Alert section and select the option from the dropdown.
Complete the rest of your label details, then click Create Label.

- FedEx Priority Overnight®
- FedEx International Priority®
- FedEx International First®
Special handling options
When Priority Alert is enabled, the following service enhancements are available:
- Saturday Delivery – Deliver packages on weekends
- Hold at Location – Have packages held at a FedEx location for pickup
- Signature Required – Add delivery confirmation for extra security
Package-level support
FedEx Priority Alert® also supports shipments that require:
- Dangerous Goods – Compliant transport of hazardous materials
- Dry Ice – Proper handling of perishable items needing temperature control
