What is FedEx SmartPost?

FedEx SmartPost is best suited for the delivery of low-weight, less time-sensitive business-to-consumer packages, using the U.S. Postal Service for final delivery to residences. Through its network of 25 distribution hubs FedEx SmartPost provides delivery Monday through Saturday to all residential addresses in the U.S., including P.O. Boxes and APO/FPO military destinations.

FedEx SmartPost setup

To utilize FedEx SmartPost in Ordoro, make sure these steps are complete.

  1. Your FedEx account is SmartPost enabled. Contact FedEx to verify this status.
    1. Once you’re approved for SmartPost, it can take up to 10 days for SmartPost rates to show up in third-party systems like Ordoro.
  2. Your package should meet FedEx’s package restrictions.
    1. The minimum package dimensions are 6 x 4 x 1
    2. For example, a box with dimensions 9 x 3 x 2 will fail because 3 is less than the minimum dimensions.
