Ordoro released an updated version of our Quickbooks integration in March 2023. See below for details on how we improved upon the first version (v1).
Quickbooks v1 | Quickbooks v2 | |
---|---|---|
How orders sync to QB | Orders sent from Ordoro -> QB as Sales Receipts. | Orders sent from Ordoro -> QB as either Sales Receipts or Invoices. See more here. |
Which order statuses sync | All orders were sent | Only shipped orders are sent. |
How tax and label cost is sent | Ordoro did not include shipping label cost or tax information. | – Orders include shipping label cost and tax information. More details here. – The shipping cost will be based on the amount of shipping and handling (S&H) charged to the customer – actual label cost. – For example, S&H = $10, label cost was $7. – In QB, the shipping line will be for $3 ($10 – $7) |
How the order line products sync | If the product already existed in QB, the lines would map. | – Any product can be mapped if the Create missing products in Quickbooks feature is enabled. – See more here. |
How purchase orders sync | POs were not sent. | POs in the Sent, Partial, and Received statuses are sent. More details here. |
How inventory syncs to QB | Inventory was not sent. | – Any product can be created if the Create missing products in Quickbooks feature is enabled. – See more here. – If you have kits, only the kit components (that are not also kits) will be synced to Quickbooks. Since Quickbooks is accounting software, we don’t want to artificially increase costs by sending the value of kits when the components are also sent. |
